"Number of activations exceeded" error message

viflow uses the named user license model, in which one license is activated per user. A user can use viflow on multiple end devices (e.g. notebook and desktop) if they are in the same Windows domain.
Activations can be carried out according to the number of licenses purchased. It can happen that the possible number is reached or exceeded – when viflow starts, the message Number of activations exceeded or The product key has expired appears.
Why do these messages appear and what is the solution?
There can be several reasons for these messages – for the solution please click on the text or on :
viflow is operated on a terminal server and a license for the administrator and not for the viflow user was accidentally activated during installation.
Solution: Contact our support team at support@viflow.de and then carry out the activation as in the article ››› License activation on terminal server described.
DeleteThe viflow license is to be transferred to another user and continued to be used by him.The license was not deactivated for the previous user, so that activation was not released and is not possible for the new user.
Solution: Deactivate the previous user's viflow license by going to the File – Help menu and clicking Enter, Change or Deactivate Product Key and selecting the Deactivate Licenses option.

An attempt is made to install viflow on a second PC (e.g. laptop) that is not in the same Windows domain.In this case, a second license is required because viflow “Named User License Model” used. This means that the existing number of licenses/activations is exceeded when attempting to activate.

DeleteThe PC has been used for a long time without an internet connection, so that the activation cannot be checked.
Solution: Connect the PC to the Internet, start viflow and, if necessary, restart the PC. If the message continues to appear, please contact our support team: support@viflow.de.
