Error in Visio update 2506 prevents viflow from starting
With version 2506 (Build 18925.20138), Microsoft has released an update for Visio, which has been distributed via the “Current Channel” since 01.07.2025.
If this version is installed, the start screen appears when viflow is started, but then disappears again and viflow is not opened.
Solution: Visio update from 08.07.2025
Fortunately, Microsoft was able to fix the problem quickly and has provided an update since 08.07.2025 with which the error described no longer occurs:
Please install the Office update 2506 from July 8 – Build 18925.20158 (or higher).

Which version is installed?
- Open an Office 365 program, such as Word or Visio.
- Under File – Info, click Account in the bottom left corner.
- In the Product Information, next to Info about Visio, you will find the version number (here: "2505") and below it the update channel (here: "Current Channel") {{1}}.
