Message "Insufficient Permissions" during import

Situation

You want to import objects from a process model (*.vfpx file or SQL database) into the open viflow process model and get the following message: 
Insufficient permissions
You don't have the permissions to import from the selected process model. Import will be cancelled.

Missing reports in the WebModel?

Cleaning up the Process Model, which is described below, also helps if reports are missing or cannot be called up in the WebModel.

Solution

Carry out the following steps in both (!) process models (from and into which the import is made):

  1. In the viflow menu File – Information click on Remove unused objects. 
  2. In the Clean-Up Process Model window, click the 
  3. Clear Selection button in the bottom left to avoid accidentally cleaning the entire model (you can still do that, of course).
  4. Then click on Optimization and carry out the optimization options offered. 
  5. Do these steps for the other process model as well (the one to be imported from or into).
Delete

“Optimization” not available?

If there are no unused objects in the process model, the Optimization item may not be available in the Clean Process Model window.
In this case, close the window and create any new object (eg an information object). 

If you then open the Clean-Up Process Model window again, the Optimization item is displayed.
