What is the Windows Hosting Bundle needed for?
The viflow WebModel is more than a static website – it's a standalone application that requires various components for smooth operation and full use of all features, including the cockpit, commenting functionality, and more. These essential components are provided during the installation of the Windows Hosting Bundle.
Which viflow versions require the update to Hosting Bundle 8.0?

Up to and including viflow version 36.5.4791, the ››› Windows Hosting Bundle 6.0 is required.
Starting with viflow version 36.5.4840, the ››› Windows Hosting Bundle 8.0 is required. This viflow version is expected to be released in June 2025.

Up to and including viflow version 9.0.4782, the ››› Windows Hosting Bundle 6.0 needed.
Starting with viflow version 9.0.4793, the ››› Windows Hosting Bundle 8.0 is required. This viflow version is expected to be released in June 2025.
Which viflow version do you use?
In the viflow menu, under File – Help – About viflow, you can find the installed version.
Does the Hosting Bundle 6.0 need to be uninstalled afterwards?
No.
You can install both versions in parallel without limiting the functionality of the WebModel. Therefore, there's nothing stopping you from installing Hosting Bundle 8.0 before June 2025.
The Hosting Bundle 6.0 can of course be uninstalled later, as it will no longer be required by future viflow versions.
