Open the WebModel

Important: A web server is required to display the WebModel in the various browsers (access via http:// or https://).
We recommend Microsoft's IIS for displaying the viflow 8 WebModel. Access to the WebModel must always be via http:// or https:// (and no longer via file:// as with a file server).
Technical requirements
The following components are required to operate a WebModel created with viflow version 8 or higher on a Windows operating system:

If no web server/IIS is available and/or cannot be set up, you can display the WebModel on a local web server. This procedure should only be used to control the export and not as a permanent solution.

- Set up the web server as described above and export the WebModel from your viflow process model to the target folder on the web server.
- Enter the path in the address line of the browser and confirm with ENTER.
The first time the newly exported or updated WebModel is opened, it takes significantly longer than any subsequent access by the user.
